Workshop Planning: Work That Isn't Work

First off, there are only 3 spots remaining in the February workshop, so I'm pleased about how quickly it's booking up.

Secondly, I am really excited with the group of skaters who are on board so far, and it's become my new hobby to design the specifics of the weekend. I have been busy snapping photos of inspiring bits of text, making notes of applicable yoga poses, and listing possible things to work on with people. I've been doing it all with a fantastic application called Evernote, which you can download for your computer and/or smartphone (they sync!), both of which I have done. It's a tool that basically allows you to keep track of your ideas so that the fleeting genius we've all experienced won't get away.

The best part of all this is that it's totally and completely FUN, and I honestly wasn't expecting that. I knew I would have to prepare the sessions, and I'm really glad I gave myself a good amount of lead time for this first workshop, but I actually can't STOP myself from preparing. I know I'm going to end up with far more material than I will get to incorporate this first workshop, and hey, that can only be good A) for repeat attendees and B) for being able to change plans and improvise if I need to as the sessions progress.

In designing the weekend, I want to work with my own ideas, sure, but also make sure to incorporate all of the awesomeness in content and method that I've learned from Naomi.

Well that's all for now!
Thanks for reading. :)
