Battle U.S. 2010 Memories :)

Hello, world! It's Saturday morning, and the first time in quite awhile that I don't have an impending project due or studying to attend to. It's just a nice, relaxing rainy Saturday morning and the only time constraint I have is that we're leaving for Germany in an hour to go SKATING with the ever-amazing 4wheelFreestyle team, and then to dinner in a yummy Mexican restaurant. How awesome is that? :D

Anyway, check out this fun video from Martin, Rudy, and KSJ!

They shot it during the week of Battle U.S. 2009 in San Francisco, which was really a lot of fun. Tim and I were also there, and we went a week before the battle to enjoy the city, which I've done twice before, but I love San Francisco! It's one of my favorite American cities. My favorite experiences this time around, however, didn't happen in the city itself. I loved when we drove out to Napa with our friend Francis and got to enjoy one of the most relaxing days of our lives. We toured Cline Cellars, sipped wine and had a picnic with yummy cheese and bread in the sunshine. It was so nice.

Another really amazing day was when we went to Muir Woods with Carmen, and then took a ferry boat back and checked out Sausalito. I've been to Muir Woods before with my mom and it was totally awesome (except that I got a tick! Yuck!), but I am so glad I got to share it with Tim and Carmen too. It was really special to walk through this magical forest with them (and NOT get a tick this time!). In Sausalito we met a strange man with a charming cockatoo named Chinook (I think), and I'm a sucker for weird birds, so that was cool.

We also saw this guy doing his rock balancing thing by the water in Sausalito. Amazing!

I used to want to live in San Francisco, but now if I had to pick an American city in which to live, I would narrow my choices down to Austin, Texas or New York, New York.

SPEAKING of New York, Battle U.S. 2011 is planned to take place in that magical city! I do plan on being there, but it's not definite yet. I am not sure what I will be doing with school. :-/

Oh, and since I'm at it, I should probably link to this amazing blog post by Martin about his and Rudy's experiences in San Francisco. It's such a good read! Enjoy. :)

Well, I've said "awesome" and "amazing" quite a bit and used a lot of exclamation marks (!) in this post, so I guess I'll go channel some of that enthusiasm into today's slaloms. I can't wait to see the Germans! :D

As always, thanks for reading!
